When ResortPass partnered with Proof, the brand had strong recognition in Phoenix, but almost entirely for pool day passes. While that awareness created a solid foundation, it also limited growth. Scottsdale is one of the most spa-dense markets in the country; the larger opportunity was not increasing visibility. It was a shifting perception.
ResortPass needed to evolve from a transactional booking platform associated with pool access into a lifestyle-forward wellness brand known for luxury spa experiences without an overnight stay. That level of repositioning required more than media outreach. It required a strategic shift in narrative, local credibility, and high-volume content built around a clear emotional message.
Building the Strategy
Proof began with market evaluation and audience insight. In Phoenix, spa days are often treated as occasional splurges rather than recurring rituals. Our target audience, women ages 30 to 45, responds to elevated value and convenience, not discount-driven messaging. Influencer performance data reinforced another key insight: resort visuals alone are not enough. Content performs when it answers why the experience matters.
Those insights shaped our approach. We centered the narrative on stress relief, burnout recovery, group spa outings, and accessible luxury that does not require PTO or travel planning. Rather than execute a traditional press event, we recommended a hyper-local, content-first activation that would reposition ResortPass within the Scottsdale wellness community.
To extend the concept beyond a single day, we introduced a strategic brand partner.
The Concept: The Elixir
Proof identified Arizona-based wellness brand Kaleidoscope Juice as a natural collaborator. Together, ResortPass and Kaleidoscope developed The Elixir, a co-branded functional beverage inspired by the feeling of a ResortPass spa day. The drink symbolized refresh, recharge, and reset, reinforcing the emotional outcome of the experience.

Hosting the launch event at The Scottsdale Resort and Spa allowed influencers to experience amenities available through ResortPass while engaging with the co-branded wellness element. The activation was designed intentionally as a content engine that would generate narrative-driven storytelling across social platforms.
How Proof Led Execution
Proof developed the full strategic framework and led execution from concept through post-event reporting. We identified and secured 27 Phoenix lifestyle influencers whose audiences aligned with ResortPass’s ideal demographic, prioritizing creators known for authentic storytelling.
Our team managed:
- Influencer vetting, outreach, confirmations, and briefing
- Messaging guidance to ensure ResortPass remained central to every post
- Event flow planning and content capture moments
- On-site brand integration and narrative alignment
- Post-event follow-up and performance tracking
Each influencer was guided to anchor their content in themes of convenience, group accessibility, and restorative value. We ensured the event environment supported those messages visually, from spa touchpoints to lounge setups to Elixir sampling moments.
The Results
The activation delivered measurable reach while maintaining narrative consistency. Twenty-seven influencers generated 48 Instagram posts and 9 TikToks, resulting in an estimated 32.6 million views. More importantly, content consistently positioned ResortPass as an easy way to plan a luxury spa day without the commitment of an overnight stay.
The campaign also secured earned media support, including:
- Arizona Foothills Magazine
- Phoenix Business Journal
- “How to Make More Me Time with ResortPass” on Arizona’s Family 3TV
This coverage reinforced credibility and supported the broader spa-forward repositioning.
Strategic Impact
Beyond impressions, the activation validated a scalable model. It demonstrated that hyper-local influencer activations can drive stronger perception shifts than national spokesperson campaigns. It confirmed that the Phoenix market responds to value-driven luxury positioning. It also established a partnership blueprint that can be replicated in additional markets through collaborations with local wellness brands.
Most importantly, the campaign shifted how ResortPass shows up in conversation. In Phoenix, the brand is no longer viewed solely as a pool day platform. It is increasingly positioned as the most convenient way to access luxury spa and wellness experiences without an overnight stay.
